Anne BERGER (USA) is a partner in the Woburn law firm of Berger & Small (J.D.: Boston University School of Law). She has written and lectured extensively on family law and related issues. She was a council member of the Family Law Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) from 1996 to 1999. She has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1987 and of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1997. Ms. Berger currently serves as the Massachusetts Chapter delegate to the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and as a USA Chapter delegate to the Board of Governors of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is also on the Board of the AAML Foundation.
Sarah BOWLER OBE (England) currently is Vice-Chair of Sheffield Cathedral Chapter. Previously she was Chief Executive of Relate and had in all over 30 years with that agency as a marital counsellor, supervisor and manager. Her most recent post was as Non-Executive Director, Vice-Chair and Chair of Clinical Governance of the West London Mental Health Trust. She has been involved with ICCFR since 1996 and was responsible with Gerlind Richards for hosting the Oxford Conference in Relate’s Golden Jubilee year. She is a Fellow of King’s College, London.
John CHAMBERS OBE (Scotland) has been Minister of Ness Bank Church of Scotland, Inverness since 1998. Previously, he was Chief Executive of Relate Northern Ireland and before that Chairman of East Belfast Youth Council. He was also a minister in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. He has been involved in ICCFR since 1990 and was responsible for co-hosting the 1992 ICCFR conference in Newcastle, Co. Down. From 1995-1998 he was Chair of the International Commission on Couple and Family Relations ICCFR. He is a regular broadcaster on BBC Radio and a lecturer at Aberdeen University. John is one of the three Founder Trustees of ICCFR Trust.
Gerlind RICHARDS MBE (England) has been working for ICCFR for over thirty years, from about 1988 until 2008 as its Hon. General Secretary. In 2003 she was awarded the MBE for her work in international relations. She has a background in European literature (B.A., UCL) and amongst her other voluntary work is that of Trustee of the SD WelCare Trust in the UK. Gerlind is one of the three Founder Trustees of ICCFR Trust.
Suzie S. THORN Esq. (USA) is a prominent matrimonial lawyer in San Francisco. She is President the San Francisco firm of attorneys Schapiro Thorn Inc. and of the S.S.Thorn Family Foundation, and from 2006 to 2008 was President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation, She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She has been a Board Member of ICCFR since 1995 and was instrumental in setting up the Trust. Suzie is one of the three Founder Trustees of ICCFR Trust.
